Design Consultation

Starting from £750 the design consultation can include some or all of the following services:

Initial Consultation and Design brief:

A discussion on the overall concept and style of the garden. The likes and dislikes of the owner the use and function of the garden and a wish-list for the finished garden. Initial advice regarding cost estimates and probable landscape services are advised.

Survey and Site analysis:

The survey will include a full set of measurements of the garden, the soil condition and the orientation of the garden. In the case of larger projects a full landscape survey will be considered.

Design Presentation:

A set of presentation drawings incorporating the outline design of the plan is then prepared. This is a discussion document, to be refined in consultation with the owner until the design, layout and features are all fully agreed.

Construction Drawings and Specification:

This will be the final blueprint design layout and will include detailed drawings and specification for materials on which the landscape contractor can base their quotation. We work with a small number of trusted landscape contractors who we can invite to tender if requested.

Planting Plan:

The planting plan is the guide to the life of the garden. It provides a listing of all the plants that have been chosen, their numbers, and their positioning in the garden. A maintenance plan detailing the aftercare of the plants will also be supplied.

Lighting and Irrigation plan:

Lighting adds another dimension to the garden. Where appropriate, a specialist lighting contractor will be brought in to install the lighting design and irrigation system.

Planting:

Plants are sourced and selected from a number of reputable nurseries and are provided with a plant guarantee for one year. The setting out and planting is personally overseen by Wendy.

Site Operations:

If requested, regular site inspections can be made during the construction process to monitor the build.
